Job Description
AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Quality Director for our ground-up construction project in Cleveland, OH.
The Quality Director serves as a resource to the project team. This position requires continuous, prioritized
training and mentoring by the QA/QC Vice President. The Quality Director participates in submittal and
shop drawing reviews, initial trade pre-construction meetings, trade pre-installation meetings, and frequent
job site walkthroughs and reporting. Oversees construction quality through the process until completion.
+ Develop and facilitate quality training sessions/education.
+ Lead job site pre-installation meetings with the teams and provide a solid level of competency with the processes.
+ Lead the field of Quality and demonstrate leadership throughout the industry.
+ Manage subcontractor quality plans - perform a review and give detailed analysis and feedback to the subcontractor.
+ Work with the Trade Contractor to create better plans for the specific tasks.
+ If necessary, research building materials, ensure compliance of materials, suggest/incorporate changes in materials as necessary.
+ Assist in the production of Quality presentations for staff and outside Architects & Engineers
+ Develop practical quality education opportunities for employees as required.
+ Provide technical advice to field and office personnel and keep accurate records of the conversations.
+ Serve as a resource to project teams to identify potential quality issues and identify remediation.
+ Assist in the development of Constructability reports. Enforce constructability reports.
+ Establish and maintain effective processes to achieve full participation in the corporate Quality
+ Management Program.
+ Maintain the Quality Program and move the systems and processes forward based on Company protocols/policies and industry trends
+ Maintain and update revisions of the Quality Program and associated quality policies and manual.
+ Analyze and issue summaries of overall loss analysis, trending reports, and quality metrics.
+ Coordinate and establish budgets for the Quality Department as needed.
+ Produce quality bulletins based on lessons learned in collaboration with QA/QC vice president.
+ Collaborates with the Project Team to develop job-specific quality procedures with the assistance of the Quality Department.
+ Maintain strong understanding of various construction types and science concepts.
+ Work with project managers to assist in developing scopes of work.
+ Reviews field work, reporting and photographing work in place with the project team.
+ Creates accurate reporting job site walkthrough, giving directions and suggestions to correct work-in-place.
+ Assist in Trade Contractor Job Specific Quality Plan reviews. Maintain relationships with the Trade Contractor Quality individual or team.
+ Collaborate with the Project Teams to ensure excellent customer service through quality procedures built upon continuous improvement and awareness of what is essential to our customers.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ BS Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related curriculum and 10 years of professional Construction Quality Management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
+ Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Understanding of ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures.
+ Understanding of the multiple building codes, requirements, etc.
+ Experience in all construction-related trades, including building envelopes, life safety, interiors, MEP/FP.
+ Experience in large construction, ground-up projects in:
+ Sports/stadium/arena
+ 10 years of Construction Quality Management experience.
Physical Demands:
+ The following physical demands represent those typically required of individuals working in construction field roles, with or without accommodation. Construction field positions require physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and stairs, use personnel hoists, and move through various terrain and active construction zones. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Team members must be capable of using their hands to handle tools and materials, and perform activities such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted may be necessary on an occasional basis.
Work Environment:
+ Individuals in construction field roles work primarily on active job sites where exposure to environmental and job-related hazards is common, with or without accommodation. These environments may include proximity to heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks. Noise levels may vary from moderate to high depending on the phase of construction. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and must remain alert to ensure safety. Additional duties may be assigned as needed based on the scope and progress of the project.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $130300.15 to $241055.29.
