13774BRJob Description:United States Steel Corporation is seeking an experienced Materials Management Plant Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate strategic warehouse decisions in a capital asset intensive industry
+ Coordinate warehouse deliveries and inventory movement in the warehouse
+ Coordinate kitting and distribution of requested inventory
+ Coordinate receiving and inspection of incoming materials
+ Coordinate the repair process for rotable spares by interacting with suppliers and Reliability Centered Maintenance
+ Coordinate all physical inventory activities including bar coding, tagging, and optimizing warehouse density
+ Work with Reliability Centered Maintenance and Operation departments to ensure parts kits are delivered for scheduled jobs
+ Coordinate all emergency delivery and expediting requirements
+ Work closely with inventory manager to identify opportunities to reduce inventory, streamline warehouse operations
+ Coordinate training of all warehouse personnel
+ Candidate must be able to ensure plant procedures are followed with regards to safety, equipment inspection, operating and housekeeping
+ Candidate must be able to lead / supervise a team of warehouse personnel and expeditors
Requirements:
+ Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business
+ 2+ years of experience in warehouse and inventory management.
+ Candidate must be assertive, a quick learner, and have excellent interpersonal communications (oral and written), and computer (Microsoft Office) skills.
+ Candidate must be able to work and communicate (written and oral) with plant leadership, management, and operating personnel
+ An understanding of purchasing supply chain processes, mechanical or electrical maintenance, and Oracle /ERP system is a plus.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000/yr. This base salary range is a good faith estimate.
