    Description

    GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and facilities through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs. This role contributes to minimizing downtime and supporting productivity across the organization.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Perform regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures using tools and technical documentation

    + Execute preventive maintenance programs and update records accordingly

    + Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, valves, belts, and bearings

    + Respond to urgent breakdowns and conduct safety checks before restarting operations

    + Collaborate with production or operations teams to minimize disruption

    + Maintain inventory of spare parts and submit requests for replenishment

    + Adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and company policies

    + Maintains a safe & productive workplace

    + Troubleshoots and/or repairs facility, operational and portable equipment as defined by the Company

    + Completes necessary documentation associated with the equipment maintenance program processes

    + Control inventory and order shop supplies according to Company procedures

    + Proposes recommendations to improve the equipment maintenance program processes

    + Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager

    EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + High School Diploma/GED

    + Minimum of five (5) years of experience of construction and/or maintenance repairs preferred.

    TECHNICIAL SKILLS AND BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES:

    + Ability to read electrical and various plumbing schematics.

    + Ability to set up a safe and productive work flow

    + General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

    + Operates forklift and overhead crane

    + Knowledge of AWS standards preferred

    + Effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisor, and managers of the Company

    + Coordinate multiple work requests
