    Job Description:

    + Assists anesthesia providers with patient assessment, monitoring, transporting, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.

    + Maintains and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment malfunctions.

    + Ensures necessary equipment and supply inventory remain in stock.

    + Provides routine and emergency services for anesthesiologists.

    + Assists with schedule preparations, including emergent and urgent surgical procedures involving anesthesia.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]

    • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]

    • Knowledge and basic skills related to aseptic/ sterile technique and sterility of supplies [Required]

    • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

    • Ability to appropriately monitor dosages and use clinical equipment [Required]

    Education:

    • High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

    • Associate [Preferred]

    • Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

    Field of Study:

    • Completion of an Anesthesia Technologytraining program [Required]

    Work Experience:

    • 1+ experience as an anesthesia tech [Preferred]

    Additional Information:

    • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:

     

    -Completion of an Anesthesia Technology training program OR

     

    - 1+ year experience as an anesthesia tech

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

    • Anesthesia Technician Certification (AT) [Preferred] OR

    • Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer. A.T.T.) [Preferred]

    Pay Range:

    $17.11 - $27.38
