Job Description:
Performs routine preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems throughout the facility. Inspects and tests equipment following established procedures to ensure proper functioning. Diagnoses and repairs equipment malfunctions to maintain operational efficiency. Responds promptly to emergency repair calls and performs necessary repairs. Assists other trades with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks as needed. Conducts general maintenance and essential repairs related to the facility. Coordinates with vendors for repairs requiring third-party engagement. Provides recommendations and strategies to address repeat issues and improve maintenance processes. Assumes lead maintenance technician role when necessary, prioritizing work orders and overseeing team-conducted repairs. Trains and mentors newly onboarded maintenance personnel. Reports hazardous situations and needed repairs to appropriate personnel. Communicates relevant issues to the Facilities Manager in a timely and accurate manner. Keeps current on new developments in the field and attends departmental in-services and meetings. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
• Ability to respond to emergency calls in a timely manner [Required]
• Ability to interpret blueprints and work from sketches or verbal instructions [Required]
• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies [Required]
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv or 5+ years experience [Required]
