Duties may include daily tasks such as planting plants using an automated planting line or by hand; hand-watering, weeding, and deadheading plants; pulling landscape, contractor, and garden center orders; and maintaining detailed records related to planting, shipping, and order fulfillment. The position also involves loading and unloading plant products and other greenhouse goods. Workers may be asked to assist in other departments as needed, including garden center operations, field work with trees, or care of ornamental potted trees and shrubs (woody plants), and to perform other related Nursery Worker activities.
### Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
### Minimum Experience Required
The worker must be at least 18 years of age and have legal authorization to work in the United States, with proof provided within three (3) days of hire. The position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, unload, and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with possible two-person lifting. The worker must be able to perform static strength tasks and may be required to climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, and clean equipment, grounds, and work areas. The job involves exposure to variable and extreme weather conditions and requires extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending, and repetitive movements. The worksite is a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free zone. All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the described duties and must be available for the entire period specified.

### Additional Compensation
Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

### Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
