    The Supply Chain Intern will be located in our Plant 4, Thermatech Coatings facility in Whitehall, MI. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Plant 4 team. Primary responsibilities include:

     

    + Review and Update RFMS database with standard nomenclature, current pricing, standards, lead time, etc.

    + Support data analyst with revamp of a Flight Scheduler program

    + Participate in Long Range Planning process for Thermatech

    + Assist with Plant Hoshin efforts as related to Supply Chain

    + Additional Supply Chain team initiatives, as required

     

    The 2026 Summer Internship Program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, fun networking events to connect with fellow interns, and projects selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, each intern will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Aerospace will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any role, and it’s Howmet's goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Management or Business Administration.

    + Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026).​

    + Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Highly developed interpersonal and analytical skills

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) proficiency

    + Microsoft Power BI, or similar, competency

    + Relevant internship/work experience a plus
