    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations

    + Participates in performance improvement and data collections activities

    + Responsible for dosage preparation, preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique, floor stock delivery, pre-packaging, billing, receiving, and stocking

    + Participates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

    + Other responsibilities include: inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability, assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital, and maintaining the cleanliness of the department

    + All responsibilities are performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist according to local board of pharmacy and state regulations

    + Performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist

    + Verify prescriptions, fill them and package them, take payment, and interact with customers

    Qualifications

    + Current enrollment as a Pharmacy Student

    + Current State Board of Pharmacy Certificate of Pharmacy Intern
