Summary As the Intelligence Research Specialist you will serve as the principal intelligence advisor to organizational leadership and programs through specialized reports/briefings on critical issues. You will conduct research, analyze data, and present findings with a focus on space, counterspace, and emerging technologies. You will assess threats, integrate intelligence from multiple sources, and engage with interagency analysts to ensure information is accurate and briefed to the correct audience. Responsibilities Prepares reports and briefings of a highly specialized and sensitive nature on a range of major intelligence issues that may have a significant impact on the Agency. Establishes and maintains liaison contacts with national-level counterparts in the Intelligence Community (IC). Identifies NASA's intelligence information needs, gaps in existing intelligence reporting, and recommends possible corrective actions. Assesses the validity and reliability of intelligence data and estimate its current and future effects to the Agency's mission and National Security. Analyzes evaluates, and integrates all-source intelligence reports and data, to include those from the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD), to assess a wide range of threats. Performs systematic and detailed multi-source intelligence research and analysis of traditional and non-traditional sources of information to illuminate threats or intelligence issues that may impact the Agency. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Creating tailored intelligence briefings and products and presenting to an organization's senior leadership; Compiling intelligence products and creating briefings on a range of intelligence topics and issues; and Researching and analyzing current finished and unfinished intelligence Information from all available Intelligence Communities (IC) and DoD sources.
