    CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking anElectric Distribution Engineer IIto join ourElectric Distribution TeaminHouston, TX, and play a pivotal role in designing and improving overhead, underground, and underwater electric distribution infrastructure. This is your chance to work on meaningful infrastructure, deepen your technical skills, and contribute to sustainable outcomes alongside experienced professionals.

    What You'll Do:

    + Participate in the development of preliminary design concepts and perform comparative cost analyses for electric distribution systems

    + Assist in creating computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers

    + Identify and correct technical discrepancies in analytical results, following established procedures

    + Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as firm and client standards

    + Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment and planning of electrical distribution networks

    What You Bring:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required

    + Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience required

    + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required

    + Strong theoretical knowledge and willingness to learn within the engineering discipline

    + Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office with data management and spreadsheet experience required

    + Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

    + Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

    Salary Range:

    $75,000 - $80,000

     

    Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
