• Interim Plant Controller

    Our manufacturing client is seeking an **Interim Plant Controller or Senior Accountant** for a 3 – 6 month project.

    Job Title: Interim Plant Controller / Senior Accountant

    **Location:** Hybrid – Tupelo & Clarksdale, MS

    **Pay Rate:** $55–$65/hour

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Support monthly close activities, including journal entries, inventory reconciliation, WIP review, and cost variance analysis.

    + Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls, including shipping/receiving, cycle counts, and physical inventories.

    + Perform plant cost accounting activities such as standard costing, PPV analysis, BOM reconciliation, and material variance analysis.

    + Oversee or support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, disposals, and periodic physical counts.

    + Prepare and communicate plant financial and operating results; support internal and external audit activities.

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + 5+ years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing / plant environment including strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and plant cost controls.

    + Experience in an SAP ERP environment (required).

    + Working understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.

    + Ability to quickly learn processes, analyze issues, and operate independently with limited supervision.

    + Preferred Titles/ Backgrounds: Candidates with backgrounds such as Plant Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the experience and skill requirements.
