    Position Summary:

    Responsible for support of planning, scheduling, cost, and change control management on assigned projects and programs. Majority of analysis is for projects involving modification of existing technology or similar technology or a portion of a new development program. Supports a Program or Project Manager to establish cost accounts for cost analysis and reporting. Monitor and analyze project metrics, including but not limited to: risk, cost, schedule, resources, and project changes. As described by AGS PRM-01 (Program Management Policy).

    Responsibilities:

    + Sets up the standard cost control system on assigned projects and programs. Monitors, controls costs, and may validate data and schedules. Completes variance analysis and identifies potential issues related to project performance.

    + Performs analyses and generates reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated project management related parameters. Analyzes varied cost data to determine projected overruns or shortfalls to the project baseline.

    + Identifies actions by analyzing and interpreting data for review with project management. Follows up on required actions and progress. Provides status for review with program and functional management.

    + Prepares project plans with cross-functional input to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate project cost and scheduling risks.

    + With direction, incorporates contractual changes into the project control system by evaluating work to be completed against each contract compared to contract cost and schedule baselines.

    + Interfaces with functional team member and/or manager to obtain accurate and up-to-date tracking of resource allocation (e.g. staffing, tools, special equipment, supplies, etc.)

    + Provides input for, and contributes to, program reviews and customer meetings.

    + Provide input to the Project Manager to ensure project compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. FAA, FAR) using a compliance matrix and reviewing with contract administration as needed. Takes necessary steps to safeguard company proprietary or competitive information.

    + Maintains business correspondence and prepare documentation to ensure accurate records of program compliance.

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related program field. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related work experience.

    + Understands and applies basic knowledge of the project management five stage process.

    + Ability to apply thorough knowledge of project management tools and techniques including: scheduling, cost management, change control, time management, scope and resources, work breakdown structures, risk management, and contracts.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and other related business tools.

    + Understands and applies fundamental problem solving and analytical skills.

    + Ability to effectively communicate status and exchange information with team members and management.
