    Job Title: Fab Shop Helper** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Fab Shop Helper to join our metal fabrication shop. This role is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is eager to delve deeper into metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing processes. You will support welders and machinists by operating punch and press machines after receiving training.

    Responsibilities

    + Measure parts accurately using a tape measure and apply basic shop math.

    + Operate punch and drill press machines.

    + Complete necessary documentation related to scrap or completed parts.

    + Follow directions from supervisors, welders, and machine operators.

    + Assist with shop cleaning and perform daily opening and closing tasks.

    + Demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous manufacturing experience and a desire to work in a shop environment.

    + Reliability and a positive attitude, verified through references.

    + Proficiency in using measuring tools and performing basic shop math.

    + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and general production tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proficient in grinding, assembly, machine operation, loading, mechanical assembly, and fabrication.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints and perform deburring tasks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest Grove, OR.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
