    Job Title: Boiler Operator 1st or 3rd Shift - 33/hr

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled High Pressure Boiler Operator for both 3rd shift and 1st shift positions. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining heating systems, high pressure boilers, and ensuring necessary chemical balance checks. Equipment maintenance ranges from 70,000 to 90,000 psi. Candidates will manage state inspections, including disassembling and reassembling boilers, and will be involved in filling and refilling hydraulic systems, changing filters, and maintaining compressors and boilers throughout the facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain heating systems and high-pressure boilers

    + Perform necessary chemical balance checks

    + Ensure equipment operates within 70,000 to 90,000 psi

    + Conduct state inspections, including disassembling and reassembling boilers

    + Fill and refill hydraulic systems and change filters

    + Maintain compressors and boilers inside the entire facility

    + Perform routine maintenance on equipment

    + Maintain working condition of all steam traps

    + Assist maintenance personnel as necessary

    + Perform minor repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment

    + Clean various heat exchanges and cooling towers

    Essential Skills

    + Boiler Operator license is required for the boiler operator role

    + 3+ years of maintenance experience for the facilities role

    + Ability and willingness to obtain necessary licensing

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading

    + Experience with water testing and chemical checks

    + Experience in replacing air filters

    + High School Diploma or GED

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator license

    + Experience in facilities maintenance

    + Stationary engineer capabilities

    + Knowledge of compressor maintenance

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves operating in a facility that produces canned goods such as Vienna Sausage, various Chili brands, and noodles. The positions have two openings with shifts from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for the 1st shift and 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday. Candidates must be shift flexible, as there are three total boiler operators who collaborate to cover each other's PTO and vacation days. Expect to work 50 hours a week, including six days a week for three weeks each month, with Sundays off. Direct hire opportunities with a shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts are provided.

    The pay range for this position is $47000.00 - $68120.00/yr.
