    Job Title: CNC Mill Setup Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled Machinists and CNC Operators to join our team on the 1st shift. This role is critical in ensuring the precision and quality of our production processes, utilizing advanced CNC machinery and equipment.

    What You’ll Do

    + Set up jobs by reviewing work instructions, materials, and specifications

    + Load, adjust, and optimize CNC programs for efficient production

    + Operate and oversee multiple machines to keep workflow moving smoothly

    + Select or manufacture tooling and fixtures as needed

    + Run production parts and secondary operations across various equipment

    + Inspect parts visually and with precision measuring tools

    + Perform quality checks to ensure every part meets customer standards

    + Handle part marking, counting, and packaging

    + Load/unload vises, fixtures, and components

    + Maintain tool and equipment organization

    + Support and guide less‑experienced team members

    + Keep accurate documentation and production logs

    + Collaborate with Leads and Engineering to refine setups and run times

    + Follow all safety, ISO/AS, and company procedures

    + Participate in continuous improvement and skill‑building activities

    What You Bring

    + Strong CNC setup and secondary operations experience

    + Ability to load/unload tools and adjust offsets

    + Confidence reading, editing, and modifying CNC programs

    + Blueprint and spec interpretation skills

    + Proficiency with metrology tools and inspection techniques

    + Understanding of raw materials and machining behavior

    + Basic trigonometry knowledge

    + OSHA‑required safety training (or willingness to complete)

    + Job shop experience preferred

    This is a Permanent position based out of Schaumburg, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.

     

    Insurance is mostly paid for by M&R, but there are employee contributions also. We have 4 Aetna medical plans to choose from, 2 MetLife dental plans to choose from, vision, life and 401k. Medical prices range from as low as $31 contribution, all the way up to $350, depending on the selections. Dental range is from as low as $12 to $69, and Vision ranges from $3.50 to $12.50.
