    Job Title: Quality Lab Technician

    Job Description

    This position involves conducting quality checks and running tests on materials both in the laboratory and on the brick plant floor. The role requires strong math skills, computer literacy, and a keen attention to detail. You will work an overnight shift from 7am-3pm Monday-Tuesday.

    Responsibilities

    + Audit, monitor, and determine the quality of manufacturing processes and outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.

    + Report and troubleshoot manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.

    + Complete training and demonstrate competency in the use of testing equipment, mathematical calculations, and basic statistics.

    + Perform quality control tests on incoming packaging materials, raw materials, and in-process/finished products throughout all producing plants.

    + Cut finished products for testing, requiring the lifting of 55 pounds and the use of fine motor skills to prepare samples.

    + Routinely audit all producing plants to identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, and production.

    + Follow all plant and global work instructions.

    + Complete plant certificates of analysis and ensure all plant equipment is calibrated by the due date.

    + Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures.

    + Report any near misses, damages, or injuries immediately.

    + Act as a role model for safety support and cultural themes.

    + Investigate and respond to customer complaints, ensuring proper corrective action and closure.

    + Assure maintenance of formulation and specification databases.

    + Implement and monitor quality measurement methodology.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Quality Control Technician.

    + High proficiency with SAP (or similar systems) and Microsoft Excel for data input, output, report creation, and data analysis.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to work independently and within a team.

    + Drive for process improvement.

    + Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

    + Willingness to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.

    + Ability to interact with staff, partners, and the general public with a calm and professional demeanor.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to use a tape measure.

    + Computer literacy.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Quality background preferred but not required.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.56 - $24.56/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
