Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of industrial power systems. This includes wiring power systems and assembling electrical components, while reading schematics and engineering drawings. You will use hand and power tools, such as power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures.

Responsibilities

+ Manufacture and assemble industrial power systems.

+ Wire power systems and assemble electrical components.

+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, process sheets, and schematic drawings.

+ Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively.

+ Read tape measures accurately.

+ Stand for the entire shift and occasionally on ladders for assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient use of tape measures, drills, and hand tools.

+ Experience in wiring electrical components.

+ Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

+ Proficient in using power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ Experience in manufacturing is a plus.

+ Experience in construction, handyman work, HVAC, or automotive industries is beneficial.

The company is expanding and moving to a new building, which will provide many opportunities to learn new skills, such as wiring, mechanical, welding, CNC machinery, and electrical testing.

Work Environment

Work in a large, open bay production facility with multiple workstations and bays. The production floor is not climate-controlled, but industrial-sized ceiling fans keep the air moving. Safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs may be required. The shift is from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (Monday to Friday) and 6:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays. Saturday availability is mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
