Job Title: Rebar Worker** **Job Description

A Rebar Worker, also known as a 'rod buster,' is responsible for positioning, cutting, bending, and tying steel reinforcing bars or mesh within concrete forms to create a skeleton that strengthens concrete. The role requires using tools such as grinders, benders, cutters, and pliers to assemble the rebar according to the dimensions provided in blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

+ Position, cut, bend, and tie steel reinforcing bars or mesh within concrete forms.

+ Use tools such as grinders, benders, cutters, and pliers for rebar assembly.

+ Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the correct layout of the rebar.

+ Ensure that the rebar layout adheres to the specified dimensions and requirements.

Essential Skills

+ At least 4 years of experience in laying out, planning, and cutting rebar in commercial or industrial settings.

+ Proficiency in concrete finishing and construction techniques.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Any experience as a lead or supervisor is a plus.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working mostly outdoors. The position is a 1st shift role from 6am to 4:30pm or later, offering a hands-on and physically engaging work experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sealy, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
