Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you will oversee payroll processing, benefits documentation, and tax-related tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while supporting employees with payroll inquiries and maintaining essential records.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, benefits, and tax documentation with precision and verify the accuracy of payroll records.

• Provide timely and thorough support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

• Respond to documentation requests related to payroll, benefits, and tax records.

• Generate detailed reports and electronic files using payroll systems.

• Assist with year-end activities, including tax filings and W-2 processing.

• Manage employee payment deposits, such as 401k loan payments.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

• Utilize payroll software systems, including Cognos and UltiPro, to streamline processes.

• Maintain compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and organizational policies. Requirements • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

• Experience working with payroll systems; familiarity with Cognos and UltiPro is preferred.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• 1-3 years of administrative or payroll experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Knowledge of accounting functions and benefit processes.

• Ability to handle full-cycle payroll tasks efficiently.

• Background in accounting or auditing is a plus.
