    Description

    The Account Manager is responsible for account support at the direction of the senior team members. The Account Manager provides customer service by handling the day-to-day operations of clients’ insurance needs and works to support delivery of proper insurance and risk management services for clients.

    Requirements

    Client Support

     

    + Maintains accurate client information to provide day-to-day client support and address intermediate-level client inquiries.

    + Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognizes and satisfies carrier goals and objectives to enhance business relationships.

     

    Account Management

     

    + Maintains files with proper records according to company procedures. Follows company procedures to achieve positive audit results.

    + Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies; endorsements, and audits. Reviews and updates client information, signatures, and enters these transactions into the system.

    + Reviews all premium audits according to Agency procedures recognizing that the Agency must process in a timely manner.

    + Reviews accounts receivable report for all assigned accounts to support client retention.

     

    Insurance Expertise

     

    + Leverages technical knowledge to ensure carrier quotes are received in a timely fashion; reviews quotes for gaps and assists with inquiries from the carrier.

    + Attends training and seeks self-directed learning to continue education in industry and technical knowledge.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + 2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred

    + Property and Casualty License 220

    + Knowledge of commercial lines coverages based on business and industry

    + Proficient in using technology tools and software including Microsoft Office

    + Problem solving and critical thinking

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Proficient use of Agency Management software, or demonstrated skill at quickly learning new systems

    + Demonstrated presentation skills including preparation of slide deck and presentation materials

    + Ability to work independently and in a team environment
