    Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a law firm that is looking for a dedicated Legal Billing Clerk to join the team! This Legal Billing Clerk role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software and tools. The ideal Legal Billing candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and have a passion for ensuring accuracy in financial processes. This role is a permanent position that offers a hybrid/remote schedule!

    Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and issue client invoices in collaboration with the Accounting Manager.

    + Address client inquiries regarding billing issues and payment statuses promptly and professionally.

    + Support the Accounting Manager with various tasks to ensure smooth operations within the department.

    + Maintain accurate and organized billing records for audits and internal reviews.

    + Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices or payments efficiently.

    + Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage billing functions effectively.

    + Generate and distribute billing statements to clients in a timely manner.

    + Collaborate with team members to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.

    + Monitor and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections.

    + Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in all financial transactions and communications.

    Requirements

    + At least 1 year of experience working in an accounting or billing department for legal, construction, engineering, or related industry.

    + Practical knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

    + Associate's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and perform well under pressure.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

    + A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in financial processes.
