    Senior Accountant

     

    About the Role

     

    We’re looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to support operational accounting, general ledger reconciliations, and financial controls. In this role, you’ll leverage your technical accounting expertise, analytical mindset, and problem‑solving skills to strengthen financial processes. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams, support audits, drive automation initiatives, and provide mentorship within the team.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Apply technical accounting standards to both new and existing products

    + Lead month‑end close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis

    + Prepare financial reports and deliver insights for senior leadership

    + Contribute to automation and process‑improvement initiatives using tools like BlackLine

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)

    + 7+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or internal controls

    + Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks

    + Experience within financial institutions preferred; public accounting or audit background is a plus

    + Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reconciliation tools

    + Experience with Jira or Snowflake for process automation is a plus

    + Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    + Expertise in GL account reconciliations

    + Prior experience in credit unions or banking

    + Strong communication skills paired with excellent problem‑solving abilities
