Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse accounting tasks while growing your expertise and contributing to a variety of projects. As part of a dynamic environment, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare and post journal entries for routine and complex transactions.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely processing and recording of invoices.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Assist in payroll processing and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.

• Support corporate tax preparation and filing by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely completion.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools to streamline reporting and data analysis.

• Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to special projects as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience in a detail-oriented setting.

• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax processes and compliance.

• Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial reporting tools.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

• Preferred but not required: certifications in accounting or finance.
