Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Rancho Dominguez, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong communication skills and a background in commercial collections.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and review customer accounts to identify overdue balances and ensure timely follow-up.

• Generate and analyze aging reports to evaluate outstanding invoices.

• Implement credit holds for accounts when appropriate, based on account status and payment history.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve collection-related issues.

• Assist with additional accounts receivable tasks as needed to support departmental goals.

• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.

• Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes.

• Analyze account data and provide insights to improve collection processes. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in commercial collections or a related field.

• Strong understanding of aged receivables and credit analysis techniques.

• Proficiency in handling credit approvals and managing credit holds.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and internal teams.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing accounts and records.

• Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and handle a high volume of accounts.

• Familiarity with financial systems and tools used for collections and reporting.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
