Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing financial processes for multiple small businesses, including both for-profit and non-profit entities. The ideal candidate will excel in reconciliation tasks and possess expertise in corporate tax, general ledger management, and accounts payable.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate account balances.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including timely payment of bills.
• Handle financial operations for 5-6 small clients, including tax and ledger responsibilities.
• Oversee reconciliation tasks to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Maintain general ledger entries and ensure alignment with corporate accounting standards.
• Process corporate tax returns and sales tax filings as required.
• Collaborate with clinic teams to support financial needs across seven locations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations for both for-profit and non-profit entities.
• Provide accurate journal entries to support monthly and annual financial reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filings.
• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and journal entries.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and reconciliation tasks.
• Ability to handle financial operations for multiple small businesses.
• Experience working with both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.
