Description

We are looking for a skilled Payment Processor I in Atlanta, Georgia. In this contract role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payments, including check handling and invoice coding. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming physical checks promptly and accurately, ensuring proper documentation.

• Enter payment data into electronic systems with precision and speed.

• Verify and reconcile payments to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily and weekly processing targets.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures during all financial activities.

• Conduct invoice coding and ensure proper allocation of expenses.

• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and document management.

• Address payment discrepancies and communicate effectively with internal teams.

• Support check runs and ensure timely processing of payments.

Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, payment processing, or related fields.

• Familiarity with coding invoices and invoice processing is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data entry systems.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
