We are looking for a Utility Field Technician who will work 40% in the field and 60% remote to update CAD drawings.
Job description:
Must be able to go out in the field around Peoria, IL area to take measurements, perform inspections and collect data on power distribution lines and poles. Your own vehicle is required and mileage/gas is expensed. The CAD and office work is done remotely
from home. Training will be provided.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Technician/CAD Drafter to join our client EPE. The ideal candidates will have some CAD experience, with experience using Pole Foreman and/or IKE GPS equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
+ Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient power distribution solutions.
+ Engage in data collection and analysis to support engineering projects.
+ Design and develop distribution systems using AutoCAD or similar software.
+ Utilize Pole Foreman and/or IKE GPS equipment for field data collection and project execution.
Essential Skills
+ At least 1 year of experience utilizing IKE GPS or similar equipment.
+ Experience with Pole Foreman for project execution.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge with power distribution.
+ Proficiency in computer programs including CAD, Autocad or Microstation.
+ Strong understanding of electrical design and field work.
+ Knowledge of utility distribution and subsurface utilities.
+ Background in power delivery and power generation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr.
