    CAD DesignerJob Description

    We are seeking a highly capable Designer/CAD Administrator with strong SolidWorks expertise to support our engineering, production, sales, and service teams. This role involves CAD/PDM data management, mechanical design, creation of P&ID drawings for the oil and gas industry, and the creation of internal documentation to standardize processes and file structures.

    Responsibilities

    + Upload, organize, and maintain SolidWorks models and drawings within the company’s PDM system.

    + Ensure complete and accurate metadata, revision control, and file organization.

    + Assist in restructuring, migrating, or cleaning up legacy CAD data as needed.

    + Create SolidWorks 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings to support manufacturing, sales, and service.

    + Revise and update existing drawings based on product improvements, engineering changes, or production requirements.

    + Maintain full compliance with engineering and drafting standards.

    + Develop skid and system layout drawings used for customer quotations, engineering reviews, and production builds.

    + Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to capture requirements accurately.

    + Convert conceptual ideas into complete, production-ready layout documentation.

    + Produce reference materials documenting engineering file locations, directory structures, best practices, workflow guidelines, and established procedures for CAD, PDM, and engineering tasks.

    + Contribute to the standardization and improvement of internal engineering practices.

    + Support engineering projects, product updates, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

    + Take ownership of CAD deliverables and small design projects as appropriate.

    + Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support departmental objectives.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + Strong proficiency with SolidWorks for modeling, assemblies, and with Enovia/3DS Experience PDM systems and CAD data management workflows.

    + Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and documentation standards.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple assignments.

    + P&ID creation skills.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesboro, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/hr.
