Job Description
Oversees the development, integration, and implementation of the clinical aspects of the Quality Management & Performance Improvement function for the Urology Service Line. Directs quality management staff. Ensures all licensed, registered, and/or certified quality management personnel maintain current and active credentials.
Job Responsibility
+ Leads the Quality Management & Performance Improvement function by developing leaders and driving programs and initiatives that support and impact the overall Northwell health system goals.
+ Develops and articulates a long-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
+ Directs, plans, and organizes all clinical aspects of the quality management; recommends strategic goals and objectives; implements plans to meet goals and objectives; works to improve the efficient use of allocated resources.
+ Coordinates system wide quality management initiatives; prioritizes and coordinates operational activities; develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports.
+ Develops and implements approved plans to further advance the objectives for quality management; assists in supporting Board of Trustee activity for Committee on Quality; supports quality management leaders meetings and Performance Improvement Coordination Groups (PICG's) across the committee.
+ Attends department and committee meetings as necessary; prepares presentations of recommendations to the quality management Coordinating Group; prepares presentation of monthly reports committees.
+ Oversees quality management program, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory activities for designated organization hospitals; provides onsite, as well as distance education and training with regard to standards and/or regulations that impact patient care.
+ Identifies and promotes the use of appropriate educational resources, activities, and tools; distributes information about healthcare statutes, regulations, and standards as they are published by the regulatory and/or accreditation agencies.
+ Collaborates with leaders in various organizations and departments to develop policies, procedures, guidelines or protocols that ensure the System will meet regulatory and accreditation requirements; attends hospital PICG meetings to evaluate organizational improvement.
+ Oversees the planning, development, and coordination of education components of the quality management department; coordinates quality management education and training program for the Center for Leaning and Innovation.
+ Develops quality management orientation program for all new hires of the organization; evaluates training needs and develops and provides educational programs as appropriate.

Job Qualification
+ Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
+ Master's degree, preferred.
+ Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
+ 10-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
+ Experience in Urology highly desirable.
+ Hospital experience or procedural background, preferred.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $166500-$291400/year
