Job Description
BJC/Saint Luke’s Health is currently seeking a **Retail Pharmacy Technician (PRN)** to join our outpatient pharmacy team.
Role Overview
In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to facilitate the preparation, compounding, and distribution of medications. You will ensure all activities comply with state and federal regulations while providing excellent service to our patients and customers.
Key Responsibilities
+ **Technical Tasks:** Perform computer order entry, medication packaging, labeling, and compounding.
+ **Operational Support:** Manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and assist with staff training.
+ **Financial Duties:** Resolve billing and insurance issues, handle cashiering, and manage basic accounting tasks.
+ **Compliance:** Ensure all medications are verified by a pharmacist for accuracy per State Board and Federal regulations before dispensing.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you should be detail-oriented, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and capable of working autonomously. We are looking for a professional who:
+ Has a passion for healthcare and high-quality patient interaction.
+ Communicates effectively across various platforms.
+ Is physically capable of standing for the majority of a shift.
Qualifications
+ **Certification:** Must hold a current **Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)** credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) prior to the hire date.
+ **Schedule:** This is a **PRN (as needed)** position.
