Summary The purpose of the CIP Lead role is to ensure that the production equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized during CIP in the standard allotted time. The CIP Lead will coordinate with departments involved to ensure that the duties and tasks are completed effectively and efficiently during CIP and changeovers. The CIP Lead will follow all applicable GMP and Safety guidelines (including chemical handling) and will make sure that Kleanz tasks/duties are completed as scheduled or when needed. It is the expectation that the CIP Lead role is a working lead role, and the CIP Lead will participate in the actual tasks/duties in addition to coordinating the CIP. Leadership of the people and process includes frequent check ins with team members and ensuring the activities are progressing per the standard timeline. If deviations are noted, the CIP Lead will be responsible for getting the team back on track by escalating the issues to the supervisor and devising a plan to recover lost time. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product. The CIP Lead position will serve as the backup in the absence of the Manager of CIP Operations position. Responsibilities Coordinate work before, after, and during CIP and changeovers Monitor the production schedule to anticipate CIP and changeover downtimes Direct the Production Team in completing CIP’s and changeovers in the allotted timeframe, assisting when needed Perform on-the-job training to operators and leads as needed Work with the training team to create up to date training material Ensure proper communication channels are utilized between production and processing Attend batch meetings Identify areas of improvement/projects that will enhance CIP and changeover times Coordinate with training team for on-the-job training Ensure washes are accurately recorded/documented after CIP circuits are utilized Advanced knowledge of the CIP systems and requirements Advanced knowledge of the cleaning procedures Advanced troubleshooting with CIP related issues Follow all plant and department safety procedures Follow all plant GMP procedures Follow all plant and department general sanitation procedures Safe use and handling of hazardous chemicals Attend pre-shift meetings with CIP Supervisor/Specialist Communicate any issues or concerns between the CIP, Sanitation, Quality, Maintenance, and Production supervisors Participation in continuous improvement projects Maintain clean and organized working environment Ensure accurate documentation of CIP records and filler equipment cleaning Operation of chemical foaming equipment Verification of swabbing for clean equipment Verification of the cleaning and inspection of filler equipment for release to production Effective communication with the Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Quality teams Follow direction from the CIP Manager Perform area and 5S auditing Perform and understand all tasks associated with CIP completion Safe use of scissor lift equipment, use of fall equipment Responsible for completing walkthroughs daily and during RCA investigations Participate in root cause investigations related to sanitation Assist in the development and review of department standard training documents Place work orders through SAP Assist the Production department as needed Reports out a daily shift report with CIP and changeover information that occurred on shift Actively tracks CIP/Changeover timeframes to better improve turnaround on the fillers Ensure correct cleaning procedures are always being followed Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: 1 year food manufacturing in the Sanitation field, leadership/management training Skills: Proficient with Microsoft (Office, Word, Excel), ability to multitask and direct a team Experience working with Zarpac, Zorba, Seeq, Choscada Must be able to meet deadlines Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs About Us Chobani is a food maker with a mission of making high-quality and nutritious food accessible to more people, while elevating our communities and making the world a healthier place.
