    Job Description

    This role provides a unique blend of transportation purchasing, tools and technology, and vision for the future. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and integration of transportation rate requests into our transportation sourcing platform. This role directly impacts our customer experience by helping to provide timely transportation of products.

    Responsibilities

    + Bid transactional transportation rate requests for Ocean freight.

    + Integrate and automate spot bids into our Sourcing tool (Keelvar).

    + Collaborate cross-functionally across transportation procurement, operations, IT, and suppliers.

    + Contribute to sourcing automation development and implementation.

    + Receive rate requests from internal customers.

    + Submit rate requests to transportation carriers.

    + Review and align on shipment awards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Data Analysis.

    + Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

    + Strong interpersonal skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 2-4 years of experience required.

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred or HS Diploma with 4+ years’ work experience in Transportation Procurement, supply chain, purchasing, analytics, or information systems.

    + Internships are accepted as job experience.

    + Relevant roles include Purchasing Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, Transportation Analyst, Buyer.

It involves working with advanced sourcing tools like Keelvar to streamline and automate procurement processes.     This is a Contract position based out of Morton, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
