    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a Lead Data Center Technician to oversee daily operations within our data center environment. This role is ideal

     

    for a hands-on technician who is ready to step into leadership or someone with leadership experience in any industry who is eager to apply those skills in a technical setting. You’ll guide a team of technicians, ensure uptime, maintain equipment, and support operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead, mentor, and support a team of Data Center Technicians.

    + Coordinate day-to-day operations including hardware installs, decommissions, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

    + Ensure compliance with data center policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

    + Serve as on-site escalation point for technical and operational issues.

    Required Qualifications

    + 1+ year of leadership experience in ANY field (supervisory, team lead, shift lead, training lead, etc.).

    + Basic understanding of hardware components (servers, networking equipment, cabling) OR willingness to learn.

    + Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience in IT support, hardware repair, or data center operations.

    + Familiarity with ticketing systems and workflow tools.

    This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
