Recording Clerk

This role is responsible for reviewing recording documents for accuracy prior to recording. Find and report any issues that were recorded between commitment date and closing date.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Review all recordable documents from various counties and follow guidelines set forth by various counties.

+ Submit all recordable documents to recording system in a timely manner in order to meet all submissions cutoff times to various counties.

+ Manage and assist Title Units with rejections when corrections are needed.

+ Print cover page of each document and attach to original document.

+ Mail all original documents – address and stuff in envelope.

+ Manage admin email for all submission from other offices.

+ Provide other assistance as needed.

+ Keep up with all new County and State regulations.

+ Learn all the queues for all counties cutoff times.

+ Learn the two systems used Simplifile and CTC

Job Competencies:

+ Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.

+ Ability to resolve issues and/or problems as they arise.

+ Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

+ Self-Motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

+ Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook 365 as well as any county systems required for submitting recordings.

+ Ability to operate various work-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.

+ Maintain confidentiality.

+ Follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format.

+ Detail oriented.
