    THE ROLE

    The IT Security Specialist will play a key role in promoting cybersecurity awareness and supporting the organization’s security program. This entry-level position focuses on delivering security training, conducting phishing simulations, and managing program metrics to ensure continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about cybersecurity education and program management.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Plan, coordinate, and execute phishing simulations to assess and improve user awareness.

    + Organize and deliver secure development training exercises for technical teams.

    + Create and distribute security awareness bulletins and enterprise communications.

    + Track cybersecurity program effectiveness through metrics and KPIs.

    + Communicate program performance and insights to key stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    + Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

    + 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT-related roles (internships or academic projects acceptable).

    + Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.

    + Strong organizational and communication skills.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Ability to create engaging security awareness content and deliver training sessions.

    + Experience with phishing simulation platforms and security awareness tools (preferred but not required).

    + Basic understanding of secure development practices and common vulnerabilities.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.

    + Strong analytical skills for tracking and reporting program metrics.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
