In this role, you will:
• Design, deploy, and maintain PKI systems, including Certificate Authorities (CA), Registration Authorities (RA), and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
• Manage lifecycle of digital certificates (issuance, renewal, revocation) for internal and external systems.
• Implement and enforce certificate policies and standards in compliance with industry best practices.
• Integrate PKI solutions with enterprise applications, network devices, and cloud services.
• Monitor PKI infrastructure for performance, availability, and security incidents.
• Troubleshoot PKI-related issues and provide technical support to internal teams.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and application teams to ensure secure configurations.
• Stay updated on cryptographic standards, compliance requirements, and emerging threats.
• Document PKI architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
What you need to have to be considered
+ 12+ years of experience in PKI design, implementation, and administration.
+ Deep understanding of PKI concepts, certificate authorities (CAs), registration authorities (RAs), and related cryptographic protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS, S/MIME, code signing).
+ Experience with PKI solutions and tools such as Microsoft CA, OpenSSL, Venafi, or similar platforms.
+ Familiarity with operating system security, network security, and identity and access management (IAM).
+ Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[136,500 -160,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
