**Salary Range:** $27.00/hour to $35.00/hour

We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliable operation, security, support, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the systems and network infrastructure used by Cupertino Electric. This role is structured across four progressive levels (I–IV), reflecting increasing technical depth, responsibility, and leadership expectations. The position works closely with the Infrastructure, Service Desk, Business teams and Quanta Services counterparts to ensure stable, secure, and scalable IT services. Perform daily system and infrastructure monitoring using enterprise monitoring tools.
+ Actively monitor and manage the Infrastructure ticket queue, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
+ Assist Infrastructure team members with routine systems and networking tasks.
+ Serve as an escalation point for the Service Desk and interact directly with end users on escalated technical issues.
+ Follow and help enforce standard operating procedures, policies, and security standards.
+ Participate in after-hours and on-call support for infrastructure-related incidents, with the ability to work remotely as needed.
+ Participate in planned monthly maintenance activities.
+ Attend regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and departmental meetings.
+ Maintain a consistent onsite presence at the San Jose Office. May require at times to travel to other offices.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Skill:** Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
**Job Complexity:** Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
**Supervision:** Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
ABOUT YOU
+ Foundational understanding of Windows Server operating systems.
+ Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts.
+ A+ or Network+ or any entry level Microsoft certification preferred.
+ Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
+ Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools.
+ Intermediate knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows 11) and standard Microsoft Office suite of applications.
+ Self-motivated, dependable, and able to complete tasks independently.
+ Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive, customer-focused attitude
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
_Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._
**Education:** High School Diploma or GED required.
**Experience:** 1-2 years of experience
