Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic partner in the company's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function. This role leads complex financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling initiatives while delivering strategic insights that drive executive-level business decisions. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced analytical expertise, business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
Sr. Financial Analyst Required Skills and Education:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Expert-level analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting methodologies, variance analysis, and valuation techniques.
• Strong business acumen with understanding of key business drivers and financial performance metrics.
• Mastery of Excel (advanced functions, macros, Power Query) and PowerPoint; proficiency in SQL, Power BI, or Tableau preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex financial information to executive audiences.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners at all organizational levels.
• Strategic mindset with ability to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Education or equivalency:
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
• Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in financial analysis, accounting or related field.
• Prefer experience in corporate financial planning and analysis or business analysis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
+ Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year strategic financial models with minimal supervision.
+ Conduct advanced financial analyses, including trend identification, root cause analysis, and variance investigation, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
+ Design and deliver executive-level reports and presentations that synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
+ Serve as a strategic financial partner to business unit leaders, providing consultative support for major business initiatives, investment decisions, and strategic planning.
+ Architect and optimize sophisticated financial models and forecasting tools to enhance analytical capabilities and drive operational efficiency across the organization.
+ Lead ad hoc strategic analyses, including scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, competitive benchmarking, and business case development for key initiatives.
+ Develop and maintain automated dashboards and advanced analytical tools using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other business intelligence platforms.
+ Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on technical skills, analytical approaches, and professional development.
+ Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A operations.
