We are looking for a Tame Lead, Production for 3rd shift, Sun-Thurs,11-7. Interested in a career with a top ranked and growing snack company, to join our Production team at PIM’s Somerset site in New Jersey.

This role leads a team of about 50 production associates on a shift within the Moguls and Fruit Roll/Panning operations. The supervisor is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, cost control, sanitation, maintenance coordination, and people development.

This person drives daily performance, leads continuous improvement, ensures food safety compliance, and builds a strong, engaged team through coaching, training, and hiring.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead, coach, and develop production teams; ensure strong communication and engagement.

+ Ensure food safety, GMP, HACCP, and company standards are consistently followed.

+ Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to meet production goals.

+ Coordinate with HR, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Sanitation, Logistics, and Planning.

+ Conduct safety/quality audits; resolve issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

+ Manage performance, employee relations, attendance, training, and cross-training.

+ Troubleshoot production issues and adjust schedules when needed.

+ Maintain accurate reporting for production, inventory, and equipment performance.

Qualifications

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

+ 3–5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing (food or confectionery preferred).

+ Strong communication; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.

+ Proven ability to build, develop, and lead teams.

+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

+ High urgency, integrity, and a hands-on leadership style.

+ Proficient with MS Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, pushing and pulling. Must be able to closely examine equipment, machinery and parts. Must have dexterity necessary to work with tools and small parts. Able to lift at least 50lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be considered and evaluated that assist individuals perform the essential functions of the job. Physically capable to do heavy labor work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Stationary and moving equipment is located throughout the plant. Work on machinery and equipment may present cramped or close quarters. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $ 70,000.00 to $80,000.00. PIM Brands takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs
