    We're hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst - Intermediate to join our UPMC HRIS team!

     

    In this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst - Intermediate plays a critical role in decision support and driving strategic and operational decisions across Human Resources and UPMC by researching and analyzing issues and identifying areas of focus for the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for the development, execution, and management of more complex reporting

    + Compile and QA data utilized for periodic scheduled and ad hoc reporting

    + Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies

    + Identify trends that will help managers and executives make business decisions to improve outcomes/processes in the organization.

    + Develop understanding of data contained within multiple systems and detailed understanding of at least one HCM Cloud application module

    + Work with end users to translate business requirements into technical requirements for complex custom reports

    + Perform ad-hoc analysis to find solutions to business inquiries

    + Act as a liaison with co-workers on technical and data specialist teams to address issues

    + Develop and execute testing plans prior to the release of new reports.

    + Perform annual review of reports and dashboards for relevancy and enhancements

    + Participate in cross-functional projects that address key business initiatives.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Accounting or a related field required and two years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Cognos, OTBI, BI Publisher, Cloud Analytics and data analysis required.

    + OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Cognos, OTBI, BI Publisher, Cloud Analytics and data analysis required.

    + UPMC HRIS experience is preferred.

    + Organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills required.

    + Intermediate level of computer and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) skills required.

    + Intermediate level knowledge of SQL required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
