Job Description
A large Fortune 250 retail company headquartered in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (Automation) located in Mexico to support a major international program.
This initiative focuses on replicating and integrating Mexico and Brazil B2B websites/applications with U.S. systems to create a unified global platform. The goal is to deliver a consistent experience across regions for B2B retail customers. Current Mexico and Brazil sites are in early stages, and the outcome will ensure seamless linkage between all sites.

You will be a key member of a global delivery team, owning the end-to-end quality strategy and automation for web, API, and integrated workflows across multiple regions. Your primary tools will include Squish (for UI automation where applicable), Selenium WebDriver (web UI), and Rest Assured (API), with a strong emphasis on building reliable, scalable test frameworks, CI/CD integration, and quality gates in a cloud-native (GCP) and microservices environment.
Test Strategy & Planning:
Define test strategies spanning functional, integration, regression, and UAT for multi-region deployments.
Establish risk-based test plans aligned to release trains, feature flags, and phased rollouts across Mexico, Brazil, and U.S. systems.
Drive test data strategies (synthetic/anonymized), environment readiness, and staging/production parity.
Automation Engineering:
Design, develop, and maintain UI automation using Squish and Selenium WebDriver (Java), and API automation using Rest Assured.
Implement modular, maintainable automation frameworks with JUnit/TestNG, Maven/Gradle, and Allure/Extent reporting.
Build contract tests and integration tests to validate microservice interactions and backward compatibility.
Cloud & CI/CD Enablement:
Integrate test suites into CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build) with parallelization, containerized runners, and quality gates.
Leverage GCP services (e.g., GKE/Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL/BigQuery, Secret Manager, Cloud Logging/Monitoring) to validate distributed workflows and trace defects.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years in software quality engineering with a strong focus on test automation for web and APIs.
Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver (Java) and Rest Assured for API validation
Practical experience with Squish (e.g., Qt/web UI or cross-platform GUI automation) including object mapping and robust locator strategies.
Solid Java fundamentals; experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
Strong CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build), including pipeline stages, artifacts, and test reports.
Experience testing microservices and event-driven integrations (REST, messaging such as Kafka/Pub/Sub), including end-to-end and contract testing.
SQL proficiency for test data validation; familiarity with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum with user stories, acceptance criteria, and story-level test design.
Excellent communication skills in distributed, cross-cultural teams; able to work Mexico business hours. Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (GKE/Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL/BigQuery, Cloud Monitoring/Logging).
