    Job Description

    Role Overview:

    As a Lead Engineer – FPGA, you will architect and develop cutting-edge embedded systems for real-time controls and industrial communication applications. You will lead and contribute to R&D projects supporting energy-related technologies, collaborating with government agencies, universities, and industry partners. Your work will help transition innovations from lab prototypes to field-ready solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop FPGA-based solutions for embedded and industrial control systems.

    • Use FPGA design tools to simulate, test, and optimize real-time embedded systems.

    • Collaborate with government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners to advance embedded systems technologies.

    • Transition early-stage embedded control and communication systems into deployable prototypes.

    • Contribute to technical publications, patent filings, and open-source communities.

    Skills and Requirements

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

    • Minimum 5 years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or

    • Minimum 2 years of industry experience with a Master’s degree.

    • Strong experience in FPGA design and development using Verilog and/or VHDL.

    • Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Altera devices and tools (e.g., ModelSim, Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado).

    • Experience developing real-time embedded applications on microcontrollers, FPGAs, x86, and/or ARM processors.

    • Proficiency in embedded software development using C/C++, Python, or similar languages.

    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
