Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Associate Product Owner to join the team of one of their largest utility clients in the NYC area. This individual will support the full product lifecycle of the CDG Salesforce platform, combining product management, business analysis, and customer discovery. They will help plan and define features, write requirements and user stories, support backlog prioritization, and partner with both IT and business stakeholders. This role also involves early‑stage discovery work, customer research, and collaboration with UX/UI partners to ensure solutions meet user needs. After deployment, this person will monitor system performance, gather feedback, manage issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

In this role, the Associate Product Owner will translate customer insights into clear business and functional requirements, maintain and prioritize the product backlog in Azure DevOps or Jira, and support Agile ceremonies. They will prepare documentation for upcoming features and collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, vendors, and business teams throughout the SDLC to ensure smooth delivery. Post‑release, they will track success metrics, manage bugs or enhancements, update documentation, and ensure all changes are communicated effectively.

Skills and Requirements

3–5 years in a Product Owner, Associate Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst role.

Salesforce experience.

Experience across the full SDLC in a product environment.

Proficiency with Azure DevOps or Jira.

Ability to write requirements, manage backlogs, and analyze product data.

Strong communication and stakeholder‑facing skills. Agile methodology experience (Scrum or SAFe).

Familiarity with PRDs or technical requirements documentation.

Experience partnering with UX or participating in design discussions.

Clean energy knowledge, especially CDG, VDER, or solar workflows.
