    Job Description

    A leading utility company is kicking off a high‑stakes ECC → S/4HANA transformation and needs a Senior Enterprise Architect to own SAP across the enterprise. You’ll set the target architecture, lead the migration strategy, drive data & integration design, and present progress and risks to executives and business leaders.

    What you’ll do:

    - Own the SAP landscape end‑to‑end: S/4HANA target state, integration patterns, security/GRC, performance, resilience.

     

    - Lead the ECC → S/4 path: choose Greenfield/Brownfield/Selective migration approaches, define the roadmap, and govern delivery using SAP Activate.

     

    - Data strategy & migration: design cutover, data quality, cleansing, MDG, and tooling (Migration Cockpit/SAP Data Services) with auditable controls.

     

    - Integration architecture: orchestrate interfaces via SAP Integration Suite/PI‑PO; ensure reliability with surrounding utility systems (EAM/PM, GIS/Esri, MDM/AMI, OMS/CIS).

     

    - Executive communication: build and present clear plans, dependencies, KPIs, and risk mitigations to ELT and cross‑functional stakeholders.

     

    - Governance & standards: run architecture reviews, enforce patterns, and guide solution teams (Fiori, BTP, analytics, security).

     

    This position is required to sit onsite 4 days / week in downtown Houston, and based on knowledge and years of experience, the position offers an hourly rate range of $75-90/hr.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 10+ years of SAP leadership; 5+ years architecting S/4HANA at enterprise scale.

     

    - Proven ownership of multi‑business‑unit ECC→S/4 transformations from strategy through cutover.

     

    - Hands‑on mastery of SAP Activate, Readiness Check, Cloud ALM/SolMan, and BTP services.

     

    - Deep experience with data migration, security/GRC, Fiori, performance optimization, and hybrid/cloud (Azure/AWS).

     

    - Outstanding communication—able to translate complex architecture into crisp executive narratives. - Knowledge of SAP for Utilities / IS‑U or S/4 Utilities, EAM/PM, field operations, and regulatory environments (e.g., NERC/CIP).

     

    - Analytics stack familiarity (SAC, BW/4HANA), and process modeling (Signavio).
