As a **Security Officer - Access Control Specialist** in **Champaign, IL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. What You'll Do:

+ Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.

+ Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by answering questions, giving directions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and/or policy violations.

+ Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.

+ Collaborate with site management and/or emergency response teams when appropriate to support security-related procedures and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
