About You

We are seeking a Patent Agent to join our firm. In this role, you'll work closely with the firm's attorneys and their clients by providing drafting patent applications and doing IP research. A successful applicant should have experience in intellectual property law and be passionate about using technology to reduce the cost so that more people can obtain the legal services they need to help them better their lives.

What You'll Do

+ Prosecute patent applications and consult with clients regarding same.

+ Conduct prior art research.

+ Research IP issues related to patents and trademark law.

+ Generally assist senior IP attorneys with their caseloads.

+ Contribute to Swyft Legal's mission and help us strategically grow in our efforts to give more people access to legal services as we expand our services.

What You'll Need

+ Be a licensed practitioner (patent agent) with the USPTO

+ 0-5 years of legal experience

+ Experience in intellectual property law

+ Passion for professional ethics

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to clearly explain legal concepts to non-attorneys and clients

+ Excellent written and verbal communication

+ Strong computer skills

+ A proactive, self-motivated mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
