    ACUTE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER OPENING

    ALLEN, TEXAS

    Texas Health Physicians Group is pleased to announce a **Nurse Practitioner** Hospitalist opening for a full-time opportunity in **Allen, TX.** Expand your career by working closely with a successful group of hospitalists evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of patients.

    POSITION DETAILS:

    • Preform history and physical exams on new and established patients.

    • Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.

    • Communicate with patients and family members concerning health related issues.

    • Provide counseling and instructions to patients regarding health related issues.

    • Document using EMR system.

    • Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.

    REQUIRMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

    • **Enjoy working a 2pm-11pm shift**

    • Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgement and decision making

    • Texas licensed Physician Assistant with a master’s degree

    • Acute Care Certification Required

    2 years of NP experience in ICU/CVICU required

     

    The Nurse Practitioner (“NP”) Must be a graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program and have a current RN license for the State of Texas.

     

    Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas.

     

    The NP will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.

    The NP’s duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only
