    The Senior Research Engineer I is expected to be a technical expert in applied fluid mechanics. The individual in this role will use scientific knowledge and methods to lead and execute projects to improve glass fibers insulation process and products. Particularly, this individual will apply fluid dynamics tools and methods to characterize and improve additive spraying or curing and fiberizing or blowing processes. The person in this role will oversee internal competencies and lab testing methods development. This individual will collaborate with all other functions including purchasing, operations and product development team.

    Responsibilities:

    + Modeling and understanding our current fiberizing and binder spraying, curing process

    + Process optimization for product performance optimization

    + Plant and manufacturing support

    + Internal competencies development, including small scale fire testing for insulation products

    + BS Degree + 7yrs of experience or Master’s Degree + 3yrs of experience or Entry level PhD in R&D and/or manufacturing

    + Applied fluid mechanics / dynamics

    + 40% travel – regular visits to our plants in North America
