The Position The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics at Roanoke College seeks adjunct instructors to teach our general education introductory statistics course, INQ-240, beginning Spring 2025; the opportunity to teach other introductory-level MATH courses in future semesters is possible. Our INQ-240 courses are taught highlighting a particular theme or topic; several pre-approved themes are available to choose from (see list) as well as the potential opportunity to propose a new theme. A Master's degree in mathematics or statistics or the equivalent is required and prior teaching experience preferred. Candidates should submit a current resume and cover letter; unofficial or official transcripts are optional before the first round of review but will be required prior to final approval to hire. Review of applications will begin immediately and candidates will be considered on a rolling basis for Spring 2025 needs and for future needs.
