    Job Summary:

    Mission Health is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team, located in Asheville, North Carolina.

    Qualified Candidates:

    + Board certified or board eligible

    + Experience with common co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders

    + 100% inpatient setting @ Sweeten Creek

    + 24 Bed Child & Adolescent Unit

    + 7 On/7 Off Schedule

    + 10 Hr Shifts

    + Provides Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with employed primary care integrated clinicians

    + Please note that this position does not offer visa support

    About** **Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services:

    + 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023

    + 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department

    + Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department

    + Active ECT program

    + Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program through MAHEC, with academic appointment possible
